Planning a wedding can seem really overwhelming, but the great news is, that it doesn’t have to be! We’ve helped plan countless weddings in Sarasota Florida and along the way we’ve picked up a few tips so this is a must-read if you are newly engaged. Here are some wedding planning secrets straight from the pros.
Tip#1 - WORK OUT YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA STRATEGY
Talk to your fiance about how you will be handling social media. If you want something more private you can do an unplugged wedding. We recommend an unplugged ceremony for sure. You don't want a whole bunch of iPhones lined up down your aisle while you are walking. And the worst part is that the phones will be in all your wedding photos.
Tip #2 - PHONES OUT OF POCKETS
Remind your wedding party to take their phones out of their pockets for the ceremony and for the wedding portraits. Nothing looks worse in your wedding photos than an outline of an iPhone staring right back at you.
Tip #3 - PHONES ON SILENCE MODE
Tell your officiant to remind your guests before the ceremony starts to silence their phones. There is only one type of ring you want during your ceremony.
Tip #4 - NUMBER R.S.V.P. CARDS BEFORE MAILING
Write on the back of your RSVP cards in pencil to keep track of anyone who doesn't respond or forgets to write his or her name on the card.
Tip #5 - PUT YOUR JEWELLERY ON LAST
Hair spray, perfume, and makeup can dull diamonds and ruin pearls. So, make sure you leave your bling till last and pop these on just before you walk down the aisle.
Tip #6 - LADIES, GET YOUR LIPS RIGHT
Nude lipstick will wash you out in photos. Go for something more rose and a little darker and it will
translate as the perfect pinky-nude shade in your wedding photos.
Tip #7 - LEARN HOW TO BUSTLE YOUR DRESS
So, eliminate day-of confusion by taking a how-to video during one of your fittings and make sure your maid of honor, or a close friend, knows how to do it too.
Tip #8 - CHOOSE EDIBLE FAVORS AT A DESTINATION WEDDING
If you’re having a destination wedding we’d recommend giving your guests edible favors so they don’t have to squeeze them into their suitcases. Excess baggage fees at the airport aren’t fun for anyone. LOL.
Make sure you drink a lot of water and eat throughout the day
Don't forget to take care of yourself. Sometimes with all the excitement and the nerves, you forget to eat and drink water. You don't want to feel dizzy during your ceremony so please eat. Chamomile and peppermint tea are both natural ways to calm your wedding jitters.
One more time I hope all this information helps you plan your amazing day.
Love .
